Description

SuperPost Composite Retaining Wall Posts (H & C Posts)

Build a stronger, more reliable retaining wall system with SuperPost Composite Posts, the vertical structural backbone of the SuperSleeper retaining wall system. Designed from advanced fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP), these posts provide high-strength support while remaining lightweight and easy to install.

Available in both H Posts and C Posts, SuperPosts are engineered to securely hold retaining wall sleepers in place, ensuring long-term stability while helping prevent soil movement and wall failure.

Key Features & Benefits

Primary structural support system — Designed to hold and stabilise retaining wall sleepers, forming the core structure of the wall.

Lightweight and easy to install — Significantly lighter than steel or concrete, making installation faster and more efficient.

Will not rot, rust or corrode — Manufactured from FRP composite materials for long-term durability in harsh Australian conditions.

Engineered for performance — Designed to meet Australian standards and deliver reliable structural strength over time.

Low maintenance solution — Built to maintain structural integrity without ongoing upkeep or treatment.

Post Types & Applications

H Posts (Intermediate Posts)
Used between sleepers to provide continuous structural support along the wall.

Ideal for straight runs of retaining walls, where sleepers are slotted into both sides of the post for maximum strength and alignment.

Commonly used for retaining walls up to approximately 1000mm–1600mm high, depending on engineering and site conditions.

C Posts (End & Corner Posts)
Used for wall ends, corners and changes in direction, providing a clean and secure finish to the retaining wall system.

Designed with a channel profile to support sleepers from one side, making them essential for structural termination points.

Where to Use

Retaining Walls — Provides the vertical support system required for structural stability.

Garden Retaining & Tiered Landscaping — Suitable for residential and commercial applications.

Boundary & Feature Walls — Creates a clean, modern finish when used with composite sleepers.

Practical Information

SuperPosts are designed to be used as part of the complete SuperSleeper retaining wall system, working together with sleepers, supports and accessories for optimal performance.

Wall height, post spacing, footing depth and drainage requirements will vary depending on site conditions.

For walls above standard heights or load-bearing applications, engineering may be required to ensure compliance and performance.

Installation Guide

Step 1: Gather your tools and materials

Below are the tools and materials you’ll need to complete this project.

Safety equipment (safety glasses, protective gear, work boots)
Measuring tape
Auger
Geofabric
Concrete
Sleepers + posts
Lighting (optional)

Step 2: Make a plan

Before you start, plan out the location, length and height of your retaining wall. Plan where the foundation/Joiner holes will be and how deep they will need to be, depending on the size of your wall and location of your wall. Ensure you leave space at the back for drainage.

Step 3: Clear your worksite

Clear all topsoil and ensure the proposed landscape is clear and level prior to installation of the retaining wall.

Step 4: Foundation/joiner holes

Mark and dig the holes as planned in step 2. You can use methods including excavation and augers if available. Place posts in the foundations holes ready for placement of concrete. Ensure the posts are level.

Step 5: Concrete

Place the bottom sleeper on to the correct level. Make and pour concrete into foundation/joiner holes, ensuring concrete covers the entirety of the post including the bottom of the sleeper. Leave concrete to cure.

Step 6: Sleepers

Slot in the Super Sleepers. Ensure you have accurate drainage. Options for this include insertion of an agricultural pipe to the correct gradients.

Step 7: Geofabric

Place geofabric behind the Super Sleeper wall.

Step 8: Enjoy!

Enjoy your Super Sleeper wall and personalise it to make it your own. Our suggestion to bring some light to your life is to install recessed lights into the sleeper and run a cable along the sleeper.
